Pure Encapsulations: The Science Behind the Supplements with Barry W. Ritz, PhD.

When I was completely destroyed by Lyme disease, bedridden for three years and multiple organs, glands and bodily systems damaged, I felt I would be left living life from inside my home and on the sidelines. Many people with chronic diseases need to nourish the depleted bodily systems, as well as repair damages. Nutritional supplements and herbals are absolutely essential tools in this healing path. I am now proud to be 100% recovered from autoimmune syndromes and advanced neurological Lyme disease. One of the KEY COMPONENTS in my recovery was the use of the beautiful products PURE ENCAPSULATIONS make. They helped me reclaim my health and overcome so many symptoms.

I swear their Mitochondria ATP cured the CFS in 2 weeks and without their CoQ10, DHEA, quercitin and more I do not know if I would be as vital as I am now!! Considered the ‘Clinique” of the supplement spectrum, PURE contain no additives, fillers, dyes or fancy branding. They are clean, simple, pure and the highest grade supplements I favor. My office shelves and home cupboard are stocked!! I am a walking example of how these high grade nutritive supplements can change lives.

This week on “Lyme Light Radio”, I welcome Barry Ritz, PhD, of PURE ENCAPSULATIONS.  Dr. Ritz oversees the science and regulatory functions for a large international dietary supplement company.  He will discuss how companies develop and manufacture new products—under strict good manufacturing practices—the regulatory environment for dietary supplements and the importance of clinical studies.

Tune in this Wednesday, April 29 at 4PM ET/1PM PT on WBLQ AM 1270 or at http://www.transformationtalkradio.com for this chance to look under the hood at how nutrition scientists develop the products we all rely on!

When Lyme is Misdiagnosed as MS

This week on Lyme Light Radio, I am proud to welcome Christine Moore. For over a decade, Christine lived with undiagnosed Lyme disease and co-infections, which her doctors believed was MS. The MS treatments had no effect, and it was only after she received a proper diagnosis from a Lyme-literate physician that she was able to recover her health.
You can hear Christine’s amazing story of recovery this Wednesday, December 17 at 4PM Eastern Time at http://www.transformationtalkradio.com or WBLQ 1230 in Southern New England.
This is a critical topic and very frank example of what has sadly been happening for too many decades to too many individuals globally, as MS rates are soaring alongside the massive spread of tick borne disease infections! I URGE you to share this advance program notice with as many folks as you can, Christine is a tremendous advocate for proper Lyme disease diagnosis and treatments. Thank you Christine R. Moore for joining me,
Katina Makris CCH CIH
IMG_0842Christine Moore has been a Chronic Lyme Disease Sufferer for over 20 years. She was mis-diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1996, after the birth of her first child. Her case seemed classic:
* 30 year old female
* stressor was childbirth
-and-
* presenting symptoms were numbness coupled with visual disturbances.
The results of her neurological tests led to a conclusive diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis…..or did they?
Christine comes from an automotive marketing background having worked for Saturn Corporation and Tesla Motors. The Tesla assignment was very short lived due to an extreme episode of confusion, hypomania, panic attacks and complete insomnia. This led to her resignation from her “dream job.”
Christine continued followed the MS treatment course recommended by her neurologist who practiced mainstream medicine. After taking high dose IV steroids (for the second time) and beginning the taper down process, she collapsed and spent the next 2 years bedridden.
Christine was ultimately diagnosed properly with Chronic Lyme Disease and Co-infections in 2009. Her Lyme Literate Medical Doctor was able to get her well through the use of an integrative approach addressing pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals/supplements and dietary changes.
Christine resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband, two children and family dog.

The Lyme Disease Story and a Message of Hope from Canada with Jeanne Pacey

On a spectacular summer solstice weekend in Rhinebeck, NY I had the great good fortune of meeting 5 wonderful health care practitioners from just outside of Toronto, Canada. These curious minded, passionate people travelled to come learn how to treat the treacherous infectious illness Lyme disease, from myself, Dr Richard Horowitz and Dr Tom Francescott, at the “Living Well With Lyme Disease” healing workshop we were leading at the famed Omega Institute.

How brave and brilliant and committed this Toronto team is to create a recovery program for the all too many Lyme stricken individuals struggling in Canada! The epidemic surges in this land of wending rivers, stretching waterways and deep forests.

I am so pleased to welcome a special guest to Lyme Light Radio this Wednesday November 12, 2015 at 1pm pt/ 4pm et. One of the lovely women whom I met at Omega joins me from Canada- bringing both her tragic, yet inspiring story to our listeners and news of Lyme disease in the great “North Woods”!

Jeanne Pacey is a health and wellness coach and Lyme disease activist. She was infected with Lyme disease in 1977, and went undiagnosed for many years. She was bedridden from 2006 to 2012, when she was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease. She has completed two years of herbal and antibiotic treatment, and she now leads a normal life with healthy diet, healthy environment to work and live in , exercise, and regular saunas.

“Lyme Light Radio with Katina” Celebrates One-Year Anniversary!

standing blk dress

JOIN US ON THIS MOMENTOUS, HAPPY DAY- LYME LIGHT RADIO’S FIRST BIRTHDAY– wow!!

Special anniversary show on Wednesday August 13, 4PM ET – celebrating our debut, on August 14, 2013, of “Lyme Light Radio with Katina” on a breezy summer day. My first guest was the talented nurse practitioner and author of “Nature’s Dirty Needle”, Mara Williams. Friends and colleagues in the Lyme crisis, our inaugural show was an instant winner. With phone calls, emails, tweets and Facebook posts quickly flying- Mara and I and the much of the Lyme community were all delighted.

The weeks ahead unfurled. I kept reaching out to prominent doctors, advocates, foundations, scientists and patients in the Lyme community to be guests and BINGO! Everyone but one person has said YES to coming on air LIVE on Wednesday with me on “Lyme Light Radio” to help educate, inspire, and bring help to our world-wide audience.

If you go back and look (and listen) to our archived podcasts at http://lymelightradio.com, you will be stunned at the caliber of absolutely top rate guests we have, and when you listen to our programs, the level of quality information shared so generously by these time burdened, passionate, cutting edge individuals is astounding!! They are teaching us WHY we have been getting so sick from tick borne illnesses and explaining HOW to get well -this is breathtaking, profound information- coming to you weekly, for free!!

In this amazing year I have had the great good fortune to interview guests from all over the world involved with Lyme disease- Lyme Poland, Lyme UK, Jenny O’Dea in Ireland, Lyme Norway, Canadian expert Dr Murakami and many prominent physicians and researchers such as Dr John Aucott, Dr Klinghardt, Dr Alan MacDonald, Pamela Weintraub, Dr Kerry Clarke, and more!— the line up has been sensational!! “Lyme Light Radio” has had an incredible first year! We must celebrate!

To be your host is a true honor. Every week I am given the opportunity to converse on a topic that is essentially critical to our future and something I care about deeply. The Lyme disease epidemic has raged too long, too many lives have been damaged, and too much lack of understanding has propagated an international public health crisis we can barely catch up to now. Time is NOT on our side, but the airwaves are! This dialogue we have started on “Lyme Light Radio” is pivotal and potentially transformative on so many levels. Please help me thank all the powers that be; our sponsors, my network, and my production team for helping us air “Lyme Light Radio with Katina.” Without this support we would not be here at all.

Dr. Pat Baccili, Transformation Talk Radio network owner and award winning host of the #1 show in Independent Talk Radio show, “The Dr. Pat Show,” is my guiding star. http://www.thedrpatshow.com/drp_drpat_baccili.php
Thank you Dr. Pat for giving me this chance, supporting my dream and partnering with me on so many special events – The Martha’s Vineyard Gala, The TBDA Masquerade Ball Live From NYC, and John Donnally’s cycle across America, ‘Bite Back for a Cure’ were beyond phenomenal.

To Linda Firing, Jesica Henderson, Kim Hunt, thank you for coaching me and my office assistants in radio production and so much ‘hand holding’ as newbies.

My crew at WBLQ is the BEST! Station owner Chris DiPaulo, Brian Sullivan, and Lorren Kleinkauf, each week you make that magic elixir run so smoothly – by finessing Skype contacts to my guests overseas, to John Donnally on a cellphone in the prairies, or a dropped caller in Montana, and just plain ol’ studio technical mystery that you handle with such ease. You back me up and produce our now ‘go to’ broadcasts faithfully. I understand people stop you in the street and rave about our program! How great it that? Runaway hit right away – on a key topic! Cheers mates- you are so fun, too!

To our sponsors who helped fund the production of this show – Advanced Cell Training, BioResource Inc., Deer DeFence, TBDAlliance, I am indebted. Without you, we could not bring all this help and knowledge to others. Your belief in me and this program’s mission means so much to me!

It will be time to start our fundraising and sponsorship drive soon for this next season. Listeners and friends, I hope you can help even in small amounts when we start our campaign– the show must go on!! WE have a great program going now, it is too key to loose this edge and validation of a silent epidemic. I will let you know as we start the fundraising efforts.

Special thanks no my personal assistants, Charlotte Miller, Chloe Rapp, Catherine Bailey, Arianna Meehan – OMG – you keep me organized and help me coordinate our brilliant guests and sponsors. The details are endless and the technology beyond my capacity. Bless your professionalism, camaraderie, enthusiasm and often weird hours that we pull.

To our listeners I say bless you! My heart is in “Lyme Light Radio” for the all too many millions maimed by lyme disease and co-infections. I cannot sit on the sidelines and let the suffering continue. This illness needs to be thoroughly wiped out, preventable, diagnosed properly and no longer ravaging multi-generations.

My intention is that you learn something new every week on “Lyme Light Radio,” gain a glimmer of hope, feel less alone. We broadcast out of Westerly, RI on WBLQ 1230 AM with a listening range of 1,500,000 residents, streaming live on the web via the Dr. Pat Show syndicate and Transformation Talk Radio, we span the globe to multi-millions! Our shows are archived forever http://lymelightradio.com, and on the Transformation Talk Radio mobile app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttr.transformationtalkradio.

I get emails from all over! Germany, Belgium, France, Poland, Iraq, Australia, Canada, Uruguay, Iowa, Arkansas, Florida, you name it! Thank you listeners for tuning in with us, for following, for sharing tweets and FB posts, helping others find help via this show.

In gratitude to you all, my anniversary show this Wednesday August 13 is a book giveaway. All listeners can email us at lymelightradio@gmail.com with your name and address and I will send you an autographed copy of my award winning memoir “Out of the Woods: Healing Lyme Disease – Body, Mind and Spirit.”

Also, this is a different format this week – I am the guest!! My wonderful assistant Catherine Bailey will interview me!! Tune in 1 PM pt/4 PM ET and find out why I wrote my memoir, how “Lyme Light Radio” got started and what we will be doing in the year ahead! The tables are turned. I have to answer the questions!!

In parting I would like to say I am truly grateful for my life journey. Even with my vivid imagination, I never dreamed as a humble homeopath in a private practice, in a tiny New England village, I would be asked to walk onto the trenches of a world wide epidemic and tend to the decimated thousands of weary souls. Each of you whom I meet out ‘on the road’ when I speak touch me. Your stories are profound, your hearts are pleading and your souls are mighty. I feel your pain and I won’t stop working for us all until we affect a true healing.

It is my privilege to host “Lyme Light Radio.” We will change the future. I wear this mantle now with pride, for together we will make a difference. Thank you one and all. Join me each week and let us rejoice in the good “Lyme Light Radio” induces. Happy anniversary!! May there be many more to come!!

Everyone raise a toast, even if it is your healthy green drink, to this day of celebration! We have so much to look forward to– one new addition will be a monthly show where citizens of a specific state will call in live with their stories, politics and advances. I want to showcase what is happening or not happening in assorted endemic areas that are often overlooked. I also look forward to bringing on more scientists whom are working to crack the ‘Lyme code’ of systemic collapse for so many. WE will learn alot. Stay tuned each week and tell your friends we are here broadcasting faithfully!

Renowned Author Connie Strasheim On Detoxifying Our Bodies and Homes

One of the pieces in the puzzle of chronic Lyme disease is environmental. Toxins in our bodies and homes can weaken our immune systems, increasing our chances of becoming ill and making recovery more difficult.

This week, I welcome prolific health and holistic wellness author Connie Strasheim to Lyme Light Radio. Having overcome chronic Lyme disease herself and written several books, Connie brings a wealth of knowledge to Lyme Light Radio. We are eager to hear about detoxifying our bodies, homes, and more!

My interview with Connie airs this Wednesday, July 30, at 4PM ET on http://www.transformationtalkradio.com and WBLQ 1230 in Southern New England. You can listen live on iTunes or at http://thedrpatshow.com/shows/mak-140730-strasheim.mp3.

John Donnally of the TBDA Returns to Lyme Light Radio

Children and teenagers spend more hours outdoors and in the woods, on average, than most adults. All this time spent in nature leaves younger people vulnerable to tick-borne illnesses and Lyme disease, the fastest-growing infectious disease in the United States.

Listeners remember when we followed John Donnally of the TBDA on his 3,000-mile bike trip across America to raise awareness of the Lyme epidemic. This week, John returns to the show to tell us about TBDA’s new Junior program, which will help support young folks struggling with tick-borne illness. John will educate us on how we can help children and teens struggling with these chronic illnesses.

John returns to the show this Wednesday, July 23, at 4PM ET, followed by an encore episode from his bike trip last fall. You can listen on WBLQ in Rhode Island and at http://www.TransformationTalkRadio.com. You can find the interview on iTunes or listen now at http://thedrpatshow.com/shows/mak-140723-donnally.mp3

JohnDonnallyBorn and raised in Madison, N.J., John Donnally attended the Morristown-Beard School from 2004-2008 where he competed in hockey, soccer and lacrosse. John first began suffering from Lyme-related symptoms in the fifth grade but did not gain an official diagnosis until 2003.
Throughout high school John was healthy and only experienced mild lingering symptoms. As captain of his lacrosse team, John was named first team all-conference and first team all-county. He continued his talents at Colgate University, but during this time, he also began to experience new and intensified symptoms, including cascading floaters in vision, neck pain, joint pain and tendonitis. In 2011, John tested positive for Lyme once again and started treatment immediately.
In May 2012, John graduated from Colgate University with a degree in English Literature and began working as a sales consultant in New York City. While working, John felt a strong desire to take action against Lyme and do something that played a lasting role in his life. This desire inspired him to join the Tick-Borne Disease Alliance and launch Bite Back for a Cure, a national grassroots campaign to build support for the fight against the devastating impact of tick-borne diseases. This summer and fall, John is biking across the country to Bite Back against tick-borne diseases and build support in the fight against the devastating illnesses.

Lyme disease in Florida with Melissa Bell, and the music of Alisa Turner

In the Southern US, the growing epidemic of Lyme disease has been ignored by the medical establishment. However, Lyme disease is present and growing in the South, and many people are suffering. This Wednesday, Melissa Bell of the Florida Lyme Disease Association will join me on Lyme Light Radio to talk about the work of FLDA, and how they are raising awareness of Lyme disease and tick-borne illness in the state of Florida.

In the second half of the show, we have a special treat! Musician Alisa Turner will play for us. I first heard Alisa’s music at the Ticked OFF: Lyme in the South Music Festival in Jacksonville, FL. Once bedridden with advanced Lyme disease, this woman is a true survivor bringing us her gorgeous music. I can’t wait to introduce her to my audience. You do not want to miss her performance!

Melissa and Alisa will join me on Lyme Light Radio this Wednesday, July 16 at 1PM PT/4PM ET. Tune in on WBLQ in Southern New England and http://www.transformationtalkradio.com. Both interviews are available on iTunes, and you can also listen to Melissa’s interview at http://thedrpatshow.com/shows/mak-140716-bell-30.mp3 and Alisa’s music at http://thedrpatshow.com/shows/mak-140716-turner.mp3

Melissa

Melissa Bell was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Florida, she worked as a Business Analyst for NCR Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia, Liberty Corner, New Jersey and Orlando, Florida. Melissa returned to the University of Florida to obtain her Juris Doctorate degree, with Honors. After graduating from law school, Melissa worked for two Jacksonville, Florida law firms, collectively for a total of 12 years: Brant, Moore, Macdonald & Wells and McGuireWoods, specializing primarily in commercial and employment litigation.

Unfortunately, Lyme Disease has profoundly impacted Melissa’s family. After years of searching for answers, Melissa and her children were finally diagnosed with Lyme Disease and multiple other tick-borne infections. Melissa saw first hand the struggles that so many other Florida families face due to poor awareness in the state, faulty testing, and flawed treatment guidelines that fail to take into account the complexities of treating late stage, disseminated Lyme Disease, particularly in the presence of co-infections. Through personal experience and outreach to others, Melissa observed that patients in Florida are routinely condemned to unnecessary suffering because they are denied the opportunity for early diagnosis, along with safe efficacious treatments.

Melissa founded Florida Lyme Disease in 2013 in an effort to raise awareness throughout the state, and to provide leadership for statewide advocacy initiatives. Melissa is excited to partner with the talented, passionate Northeast Florida Lyme Association team to improve Lyme Disease education, awareness and surveillance in the State of Florida.

AlisaThrough tragedy, through loss, through sickness and losing it all, Alisa Turner still sings.

Alisa has been writing and performing from the early age of 11. Though she admits at the time there wasn’t much worth listening to, she did embrace those early years trying to conquer the basics of how to write a good song. Entertaining an audience is a must, photo shoots and sparkly dresses are quite the delight, but at the end of the day she wants to be known for and remembered as a respectable songstress. “When a song can be stripped down to its most basic and raw form and still be great, everything else is just a bonus” says Turner.

She leaves it all on the stage. Vulnerability just scratches the surface of what you’ll see when you witness her perform. She takes all that she has endured in this life and pours it into her eloquent piano ballad driven melodies with determination in connecting to each member of the audience.

It’s been an uphill battle since tragically loosing her father, being bedridden for three yrs due to Lyme disease, and giving birth to her son London who lived only 71 minutes in her arms. But instead of focusing on what has been taken away, she rejoices for all that she has been given. It hasn’t been easy for Turner as she will truthfully tell you but, surrendering to it all isn’t an option for this musical warrior.

Alisa has worked with Producers Robbie Seay (of the Robbieseayband), Don Chaffer (of Waterdeep), and Songwriter Cary Barlowe (of Taylor Swift/Carrie Underwood/Lady Antebellum). She has toured and or shared stages with Brandon Heath, Michael Gungor, Shane Alexander, Tenth Ave North, Shane & Shane just to name a few. Her music was used by Stacey Tookey on the TV Show, So You Think You Can Dance which allowed her to spend two weeks at the #1 spot on iTunes Singer/Songwriter Chart. She was also featured on Toby Mac’s Album, Portable Sounds. In her own words “It truly took blood, sweat, tears, and many nights sleeping in the car across this beautiful country to have such wonderful opportunities. The difficulties have made me appreciate even the smallest of successes like the first time I received an iTunes check, the first time I was paid for a show, and the first autograph I ever signed.”

In person she comes off as a quiet and gentle spirit, but on stage she is set free. An pin dropping unforgettable strong soaring voice comes out of this girl full of passion and commitment to each note she plays and lyric she sings. She takes you on a journey all your own, capturing your attention and captivating the soul. Alisa Turner is using music to make intimate heart-to-heart connections where ever she goes. And it’s all as natural as breathing.

Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt and the Neurobiology of Lyme Disease

Lyme disease can have mysterious and frustrating effects on the brain and nervous system, but biologists are learning more about the causes and effects of chronic Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses.

This week, I am honored to welcome Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt of the world-renowned Sophia Health Institute to Lyme Light Radio. Dr. Klinghhardt exemplifies masterful knowledge of Lyme and associated infections, and he is gracious to share with us his knowledge of the reasons that some of us get sick, and the steps we can take to get better.

Dr_Dietrich_KlinghardtDr Dietrich Klinghardt MD, PhD, is Founder of the Klinghardt Academy (USA), the American Academy of Neural Therapy, Medical Director of the Institute of Neurobiology, and lead clinician at the Sophia Health Institute, located in Woodinville, Washington. He is also Founder and Chairman of the Institute for Neurobiology (Germany) and (Switzerland). Klinghardt Academy (USA) provides teachings to the English speaking world on biological interventions and Autonomic Response Testing assessment techniques.

Klinghardt has lectured at the universities of Illinois, Utah, Freiburg, Adelaide, Capital University (Washington DC) and others, and the medical schools of Geneva and Zurich. Between 1996-2005 he was Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Neurobiology at Capital University. He is regularly invited to teach workshops at the prestigious Medicine Week in Baden-Baden, Germany and the International Lyme and Associated Diseases (ILADS) conferences. Among his books is the groundbreaking Psychokinesiology A new Approach in Psychosomatic Medicine, on muscle feedback-guided psychotherapy. Many of his teachings, manuals, seminar DVD’s and clinical tools are available through his website http://www.klinghardtacademy.com.

Angeli VanLaanen Returns to Lyme Light Radio, and Eileen Bendiksen Introduces Lunarich

On her last visit, Angeli VanLaanen introduced our audience to the Lyme Light Foundation, with their beautiful, philosophic mission help children suffering with Lyme disease. This week, Angeli returns to Lyme Light Radio to share her own story of recovery from Lyme disease and her commitment to help young people with Lyme. Tune in to hear one of America’s Lyme survivors and a hero to so many of us! She is miraculous!

This week on Lyme Light Radio, we will also be joined by Eileen Bendiksen of Reliv International. Eileen will share her passion for true, drug-free healthcare, and will introduce us to Lunarich, a natural, bioactive peptide that is a scientific breakthrough.

Angeli Vanlaanen PortraitStriking a balance between career and the rest of one’s life is not always easy. Especially when that career is a professional skier and involves endless travel, exhausting training and both physical and mental stress. But one athlete who has always been able to balance all that her career thrusts upon her with friendships, family relationships, health struggles and personal time is Angeli VanLaanen.

Beyond that, she balances all of this with grace and kindness. Born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, Angeli grew up in the steep and deep terrain of Mt Baker, one of the most raw and soulful ski areas in North America. For Angeli, best known for her park and pipe prowess, it may come as a surprise that her true background and skill set is in her backcountry abilities. Chasing her older brother Cachaulo off cliffs and through deep powder snow in northern Washington, Angeli developed a strong technical ability for skiing.

But while skiing was always a large part of family time, — you will likely still run into Angeli’s mom, Allain, on a chairlift at Mt Baker. She will be the beautiful and graceful woman with long hair who just dusted you — skiing wasn’t the only sport Angeli developed a passion for. Her love and accomplishment of ballet and figure skating can be found in her grace and fluidity on the mountain and her soccer skills and aggressive athleticism transfers to her hard charging ways on skis.

In 2005, after graduating high school, Angeli decided to take a leap of faith and try her luck in the professional freeski arena. She moved to Colorado and began her foray into slopestyle and halfpipe training and competing. It didn’t take long for Angeli to find success. That year, at the Vermont Open, Angeli won her first halfpipe contest and placed second in the slopestyle competition. The following year, she won the Vermont Open again, solidifying her mark on the sport. She was rewarded with an X Games invitation the next year, 2007.

Angeli has many accomplishments including her New Zealand Open and World Cup golds, her segments in movies such as Uniquely and 44 Days, and her many published photos in various magazines. But not one to ever be satisfied and rest on her accomplishments, Angeli is always in constant search of the next challenge and next adventure. In 2010 she set off for Haines, Alaska to attend a Heli Guide School. Later that year, she was the first woman to spin over the famed Mt Baker Road Gap and the photo landed in Freeskier Magazine as part of a nine page feature.

Though all that was happening in Angeli’s career, she was struggling to find an answer to why her body wasn’t keeping up the way it should have. From bouts of fatigue to unexplained ailments such as dizziness and body pain, something wasn’t right. After seeing numerous doctors who misdiagnosed her condition for 14 years, Angeli was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease in November of 2009. She was put on a strict regimen of medications — she got shipments of IV meds like most girls get shipments of shoes.

While undergoing Lyme Disease treatment, Angeli was advised against competing. After 3 years of treatment she entered remission entirely symptom-free, and made an incredible comeback and competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics. She now resides in Bellingham, Washington and is an official member of the US Ski Team.

EileenBendiksenEileen Bendiksen is a graduate of Mass. College of Pharmacy (Boston) 1978. She worked for CVS Pharmacy for 16 yrs. and was their first female pharmacy supervisor. Eileen has been a Registered Pharmacist for a total of 36 years. As a child, Eileen was chronically fatigued and as she got older symptoms worsened. There was an increase in pain, bowel dysfunction, severe case of eczema, chronic migraines which started at age 9 and compromised immune function. Her children also had serious issues. Her older daughter had asthma, allergies, beginning stage of diabetes and a poor immune system. Eileen’s other daughter was diagnosed with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. She says that her children’s health was the catalyst that sent her searching for a non-pharmaceutical solution. Her search led her to Reliv International, a 26 yr. old company which is now the first nutritional epigenetics company. They all received great health results. That was when the light turned on and the shift in her career took a whole different avenue. Her focus and understanding changed from reactive to proactive care and wellness directed. She lost her passion for pharmaceutics and wanted to educate and promote true healthcare! For the last 20 yrs. Eileen has been teaching and educating individuals about prevention of disease.
